Downsizing

We’ve finally made it to Spring. And with Spring, like every other season, comes the unpacking of last years stuff and the purchasing of new necessities. For me Spring means swapping out my big clunky bags for lighter, smaller bags. There’s no longer a need to lug around a suitcase sized bag that holds a scarf, mittens, hats and what ever other layers I might have needed to shed or add throughout the day.

Spring brings back the presence of the sun and while it’s not yet scorching your skin, it’s there to remind you he hasn’t left you for good. I like my bags to feel the same way. Not taking over my outfit, or my shoulder, but just adding a little pop to remind me it’s still here.

I’ve curated a small look book of my favorite barely-there bags for the season. I like to always mix budget,  in-between, and designer bags, to save my wallet and stay well-rounded. These colors, styles, and shapes simply are a must to get through the transitional season before us.

The Colored Bag

This bag is one of my favorites and the smallest of the gang. It’s three pockets however, hold more than you would think. It sports a bright blue and dark blue contrast which can easily elevate an outfit. The gunmetal chain is different from my usual leathers and golds. At a median price it’s a wonderful buy to add to any collection.

The Printed Bag

The second bag gives the perfect edgy vibe. Even though the pattern might be a bit darker, the colors, texture, and tassel are just playful enough to bring it into one more season.  Although it is on the pricier side, it is well worth every penny.

The Neutral Bag

This bag is a go-to classic for me. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall I can never stray away from my black necessities. This bag is a little roomier than the previous two so it works better if your going to be out for a while and need to stuff in a few extras. It is also a super budget bag which is always a plus.

Although I’ve highlighted only these three bags you better believe that I have a hoarded pile of small shoulder bags cluttering about two-thirds of my bag closet. And I find myself constantly swapping out my bags each day.
